Freshdesk Apps

Note:
Please ensure that all submitted apps meet our content and coding guidelines. Apps that do not follow these guidelines will not be published.

Follow these steps to submit your app in Freshworks Marketplace.

  1. Log in to the Freshdesk portal, go to Admin -> Security, turn on the Secure Connection using SSL toggle, and click Save.

  2. In the Developer website, at the top-right corner, click Log in.

  3. In the pop-up window, enter your Freshdesk URL and click PROCEED. If you are not logged in to Freshdesk, you will be redirected to the Support portal login page. In the login page, provide your Freshdesk credentials and click LOGIN.

  4. Click Add New App.

  5. In the Add New App window, click Upload from Computer, select your app file, and click Open.

  6. Follow the instructions listed in the table to provide your app information.

    FIELD DESCRIPTION
    App Name Provide a name for your app, comprising two to three words. This field is mandatory for all types of apps.
    App Icon Provide an icon to represent your app in Freshworks Marketplace. Ensure that your logo meets the following requirements.
    • Image format is .PNG.
    • Logo background is transparent.
    • Aspect ratio is 1:1.
    • Minimum resolution is 400 x 400 pixels.
    This is a mandatory field for Freshdesk apps and External apps.
    Overview Add a short introduction on how you can integrate your app with Freshworks suite of products, it should not exceed 100 characters. This field is mandatory for all types of apps.
    Description Provide an introduction briefing your app’s functionality and features. This field is mandatory for all types of apps.
    Instructions If your app requires user action during installation, list them here in sequence.
    Screenshots Provide screenshots to illustrate how your app works. You can capture different states and process flows to give users a better insight into your app. Ensure that your screenshots meet the following requirements.
    • Image format is .PNG.
    • Maximum of five screenshots.
    • Minimum resolution is 1350 x 850 pixels.
    This is a mandatory field for Freshdesk apps and External apps.
    Video Guidelines Submit either a YouTube or Vimeo video. This field is not mandatory but required if you would like your app to be featured in Freshworks Marketplace. The recommended format for:
    • YouTube link - https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID
    • Vimeo link - https://player.vimeo.com/video/VIDEO_ID

    App Category Select the appropriate category to help customers easily filter and find your app in the gallery. You can select upto three categories. This is a mandatory field for Freshdesk apps and External apps.
    Support Email Provide your support email for customers to reach you in case of any queries regarding your app. This is a mandatory field for Freshdesk apps and External apps.
    Support URL Provide the link to your helpdesk or a solution article. This is a mandatory field for Freshdesk apps and External apps.
  7. To add more languages, click the Languages tab and select the language from Add new Language.

  8. Click Save to save the app details or click Save and Publish to submit your app for approval. Once your app is reviewed and approved by Freshdesk, it will be published in Freshworks Marketplace.

Freshdesk Paid Apps

Note:
Once you upload a paid app, you cannot change it to a free app or vice versa. Instead, you can upload it as a new app with a different name.

Follow these steps to submit your paid app to Marketplace.

  1. Log in to the Freshdesk portal, go to Admin -> Security, turn on the Secure Connection using SSL toggle, and click Save.

  2. In the Developer website, click Log in at the top-right corner.

  3. In the pop-up window, enter your Freshdesk URL, and click PROCEED. If you are not logged in to Freshdesk, you will be redirected to the Support portal login page. In the login page, provide your Freshdesk credentials and click LOGIN.

  4. Click Add New App.

  5. In the Add New App window, click Freshdesk App, select the Mark as PAID APP check box, and click Upload app file.

  6. Select your app file and click Open.

  7. Follow the instructions listed in the table to provide your app information.


    FIELD DESCRIPTION
    Pricing model* Each app you sell needs a unique payment plan. You can choose from the two payment types:
    • Agent per month
    • Account per month
    Set Price* Enter your app price in:
    • EUR
    • INR
    • USD
    • ZAR
    Before you proceed, ensure that all the currency fields are filled.

  8. To add more languages, click the Languages tab and select the language from Add new Language.

  9. Click Save to save the app details or click Save and Proceed.

  10. In the Billing and Bank Information section, provide your paypal ID or select Bank Account and provide your banking details.

  11. Download the W9/W8 forms by clicking the Download form template link, fill the required details, and click Select File to upload the scanned document(s).

  12. Click Save and Publish to publish your app in Freshworks Marketplace.
